Ocular Injury & Trauma

At Clear View Eye Care Center we provide full vision care to our patients including injuries related to Ocular Trauma.  Ocular Trauma is the direct injury of the eye either from physical objects or even chemicals.  Physical Ocular Trauma is typically caused from small to large pieces of wood, metal, dirt, rocks or other projectiles coming into direct contact with the eye.  Chemical Trauma can come from any number of places. This includes everything from work related exposure to even household cleaning supplies.

Eye injuries vary from mild to severe and can be the result of blunt force trauma, small to large flying objects or everyday chemical exposure.  It is important to be vigilant and aware of your surroundings, whether at work or at home. If you do work where you are constantly exposed to these types of hazards, safety glasses are a necessity.  In some instances there may only be mild redness and minimal pain, but treatment may still be necessary. It is important to contact us immediately and not to wait as symptoms and damage may increase over time.

It is important for us to evaluate each situation, provide necessary treatment, monitor healing progression and provide extended care where necessary.  Each situation is unique when dealing with eye injuries and should be handled delicately and seriously.

Contact us immediately if you feel you may have any kind of eye related injury.
